Good luck and patience may bring some reward. One thing I have noticed when setting up some Bonjour type printing is one must work very slowly and give everything some time to try and get an established connection.

i.e.: The HP_Laser_Jet_p1102w printer_name would work but HP Laser Jet p1102w name would NOT. PS: In case it helps the OP, one thing I discovered to get our old printer working throughout our LAN network and for wireless use was the printer_name could NOT contain any spaces that Apple's setup kept insisting on doing in the printer network setup. And oh yes, I used the HandyPrint app to provide wireless/airprint access that worked amazingly well and better than that printopedia app thing which was surprising.

#HP PRINTERS FOR MAC SIERRA SERIAL#
I've still got our HP 4ML Laserjet that works when I turn on the old G5 iMac running 10.5.8 as that Mac serial connected printer needs AppleTalk to work.Īctually it works amazingly well and very easy on toner but a bit slow considering all the router and AsanteTalk adapters it has to go through. And in some places they even stated that it won't normally work for wireless use and a lot of support seems almost useless.
#HP PRINTERS FOR MAC SIERRA INSTALL#
One important thing is that I would like to install the printer without the cable, meaning, wirelessly because somehow I lost the cable so this would be easier (whenever possible).Īlso strange is all the different and often conflicting info out on the 'net regarding connecting and setting up that printer, and Apple's attitude doesn't seem very helpful or supportive.Īnd why does HP not even have drivers listed for it for use with HS etc. However when I click the icon it doesn't do anything and when I go to "System preferences - printers and scanners" I do not have any printer there so I guess the installation failed.Ĭould anyone help me to install the printer on my Mac? I now have a new application on my MAC Applications folder which is called HP e-print (the icon is blue and grey and it appears also on the doc). Unfortunately, my Mac's System Version is now macOS 10.13.3, but I could not find a software for this printer on the website especially developed for Mac High Sierra.Īnyway, I downloaded the software and I sucessfully installed it on my MAC following the instruction on the HP website (basically just opening the file and let the program installed itself). I have download the latest HP software I could find on the hp website (. I am having issues installing my HP Laser Jet p1102w on my new mac.
